You have in your hands one of the most curated city guides ever created. As the first travel book produced by the hugely influential Bespokist Society, this handy guide takes you to a London you’ve never seen: a London of challenging Etruscan restaurants, edgy branding parlours, emoji hotels and hidden Icelandic communities; a London where 8-ply toilet paper is a thing.
On the way, meet an eclectic band of inspiring Londoners – from scriveners to socialites via urban wordsmiths and coffee preachers – and see why London is now the global epicentre of Bespokist consciousness, community and culture.

Author Bio – The Bespokist Society Guide to London is a work of fiction written by born and bred Londoner, Jeremy Liebster. Somewhat surprisingly, Jeremy is also a city lawyer – formerly at DLA Piper and now a General Counsel within a large private equity group. Jeremy is utterly obsessed with travel books and although he might poke fun at urban fads, hipster fried chicken is his guilty pleasure. He also has an unusual interest in clothes hangers.

Natasha Gold of the Urban Breastfeeding Trust explains how London has become a breastfeeding mecca.
Sponsored by The Bespokist Society
I remember very clearly my mum breastfeeding me when I was a baby. She was a busy, active mum but whenever it was time for my feed she used to dash home, lock all the doors and close the curtains before she could allow me to suckle.
Twenty five years later and London is a very different place. Desperate mums from all over the world are now flocking to London to enjoy the far more positive approach to breastfeeding. In Northern Ireland breastfeeding is actually illegal so we have a lot of mums flying over from Belfast for overnight feeds. We also have a lot of long term feeders from countries like Sudan, Myanmar and Moldova where breastfeeders are forced to huddle together in alleyways and car parks for fear of public reprimand.
By contrast in London a series of laws introduced by local councils have created a incredible safe space where breastfeeding is actively encouraged. In Hammersmith & Fulham breast pumps are freely available at all bus stops for female, male and transgender mums while in Ealing mums seen using formula face the choice between a short prison sentence or a five day re-education programme.
At the Urban Breastfeeding Trust we have been doing our own bit to help. We’ve launched our own App (Sucklr) whereby breastfeeding mums can browse profiles and then hook up with other mums to swap their babies with. All our research conclusively concludes that babies’ immune systems receive a 30% boost if they sample a variety of different mums’ milk so we’re encouraging mums to swap via Sucklr at least five times a week. The response has been immense and we’re about to launch Sucklr worldwide. Watch out Northern Ireland here we come!
