The Bakery at Seashell Cove by Karen Clarke @karenclarke123 @bookouture #BookReview #BlogTour

Excited to be part of the blog tour for this book filled with fun, friendship, food, and love💕🍰

Many thanks to Noelle for the invitation and to Karen Clarke for this delightful story!

Publication day: June 8th 2018

A warm welcome and delicious chocolate gateau are always on the menu at the Bakery at Seashell Cove – and this summer, romance is in the air…

Meg Larson thought she had everything she wanted: she works in the local bakery, she’s months away from marrying her high-school sweetheart, and home is beautiful, sunny Seashell Cove, where the sky is blue, the sea is turquoise and the sand is golden.

Except that the bakery is up for sale and her fiancé Sam’s more interested in bikes than their relationship. When Meg receives shocking news about her family, he’s on a cycling tour and ignoring her calls – and posting selfies on Facebook with a female cyclist he looks far too cosy with…

Luckily the bakery’s estate agent, Nathan, is understanding and funny, and as the summer goes on an unexpected friendship blossoms. When the bakery is given a second lease of life under a mysterious new owner, Meg realises a change might be exactly what she needs too.

Will Meg find the happy-ever-after she dreams of in Seashell Cove?

An uplifting, laugh-out-loud rom com that will make you dream of romantic days at the beach. Perfect for fans of Debbie Johnson, Holly Martin and Jenny Oliver.

4.25 Delectable Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟.25

This book left me with a smile on my face and craving cake! 🍰 apparently this is the second book in the series, however I had no idea until I reached the end of the book and saw the blurb for the previous book… so this can absolutely be read as a standalone… although Time permitting I will definitely go back and read Cassie‘s story… how can I resist another book set in the beautiful setting of Seashell Cove?

Meg was such a fun and real character, the kind of girl you want to be friends with… dealing with the fact that her beloved bakery is being sold and her fiancé is obsessed with cycling…. this is the second book I have read recently where the husband is more interested in cycling than the wife/girlfriend/fiancée??? This must be a real problem, stay off the bikes boys!

Meg has an opportunity to be on a television show featuring her and the bakery…. The TV show brought about both hurt feelings and some good news… this was a lighthearted read with a bit of a serious tone… Meg has to deal with a family secret being revealed, her failing relationship, and the obnoxious mother of her fiancé….Thank goodness the handsome Nathan enters the picture… A beautiful friendship is formed, or maybe a bit more? Will Meg find her way to happily ever after?

Such a delightful read filled with both heartbreaking and heartwarming moments… A book filled with fun, food, and friendship…. set in a place we’d all love to visit Seashell Cove!🐚

Absolutely recommend as a perfect summer read on the beach, by the pool, or just sitting on the couch!

The Road Trip by Susanne O’Leary @susl @bookouture #BookReview #BlogTour

What would you do if you won the lottery??? Find out what bestfriends Maddy and Leanne do with their winnings🤑
Thrilled to be part of the blog tour for this fun summer read! Many thanks to Kim for the invitation and to Susanne O’Leary for this delightful book!
An absolutely HILARIOUS, unputdownable summer read about two best friends who pack their bags for the trip of a lifetime, and promise to start living life to the fullest.

Maddy and Leanne are in need of a miracle.

Maddy can’t bear to wash another pair of her husband’s Y-fronts and if he continues to drone on about golf she might just scream.

Leanne can’t stand living with her overbearing mother for a second longer and she’s one disapproving eye roll away from a nervous breakdown.

But their luck changes when they win the lottery.

Setting off from Dublin, Maddy and Leanne lease a red convertible, winding through Europe and heading for the sun-drenched French Riviera.

But the pair have their own reasons for their adventure. Maddy has never forgotten her summer romance of twenty years ago with a gorgeous Frenchman and Leanne plans to track down the father who abandoned her as a child.

Amongst glorious sunsets and buckets of bubbly, Leanne and Maddy are searching for answers after years of wondering ‘what if?’  But there might just be some surprises in store along the way…

A hilarious and heartwarming story about friendship, living life to the full and making the most of every moment. Fans of Fiona Gibson, Carole Matthews and Lucy Diamond will adore this uplifting, fun-filled read.

4 Road Trippin’ Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Ever wonder what you would do if you won the lottery? The one thing I would do for sure is hire someone to cook and clean for me… when best friends Maddy and Leanne win the lottery they decide to take a dream road trip across Europe… once again I found myself vacationing vicariously through the characters in my books… it really is much cheaper…and unless I win the lottery I probably will not be taking a trip around Europe any time soon!

Maddy and Leanne are both running from something and trying to find something…Maddy wants to get away from her tired marriage and find a man in Paris she had a fling with over 20 years ago… Maddy as a character was tough to sympathize with… if we were friends I would tell her this* quit complaining about your marriage, do something about it! Either leave or fix it, but having an affair with a man you haven’t seen in 20 years, not going to help anything! So please quit the whining!* clearly she needed a friend like me to straighten her out… leeAnne was trying to get away from a disapproving mother and find herself and her father…. I had much more sympathy for Leanne and I can’t believe she never lost it with her friend Maddy….

The road trip itself was a lot of fun! There were some over the top moments, but they made me laugh…. The descriptions of the cities throughout this book were so well painted, I felt as though I was there…. at the end of the book we find out there is a sequel, and I’m assuming some loose ends will be tied up…. also I cannot wait to see where they go next!

Recommend as a perfect summer getaway read… you too can vacation through Europe from the comfort of the couch or while sitting by your pool🚗
