It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time by Kylie Scott #CoverReveal @KylieScottbooks @InkSlingerPR

We are thrilled to bring you the cover for the next standalone from New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Kylie Scott.

“Addictive like all Kylie Scott books, you’ll swoon, laugh, ache, put your life on hold, and compulsively read until the wee hours of the night—only to reread the whole thing the next morning. Perfection!” – Katy Evans, New York Times bestselling author

Returning home for her father’s wedding was never going to be easy for Adele. If being sent away at eighteen hadn’t been bad enough, the mess she left behind when she made a pass at her dad’s business partner sure was.

Fifteen years older than her, Pete had been her crush for as long as she could remember. But she’d misread the situation—confusing friendliness for undying love. Awkward. Add her father to the misunderstanding, and Pete was left with a broken nose and a business on the edge of ruin. The man had to be just as glad as everyone else when she left town.

Seven years later, things are different. Adele is no longer a kid, but a fully grown adult more than capable of getting through the wedding and being polite. But all it takes is seeing him again to bring back those old feelings.

Sometimes first loves are the truest.

~My Review~

4.5 Twisted Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟.5

Samantha Hayes… WOW! What a crazy ride you just took me on! I’d like to thank you for that and blame you for a sleepless night…. i’d suggest you go into this book completely blind, don’t read the blurb, don’t read the reviews (except for mine😉) this book was filled with twist that I did not see coming, and if you do major props to you! There were so many times I was certain I had figured it all out but NOPE!

Lorna was a serious hot mess… she was self-centered, manipulative, a liar, and a therapist… I found this quite amusing, just what you want from a therapist for them to be a bigger mess than you are….Lorna also has a big secret, she had an affair… now the man is back and she can’t seem to stay away…. her feelings towards this man were obsessive… so obsessive that it caused problems not only in her personal life, but in her professional life as well…. I kept thinking there has to be more to this, to cause a intelligent woman to behave this way….

The majority of the book is told from Lorna‘s point of view, with an occasional journal entry from her, and an unknown character named Nikki… Who is Nikki? Well I had lots of theories on this one, all wrong! Wonderful psychological thriller filled with all the twists and turns you’d want and an ending that was quite explosive!💥

Absolutely recommend two fans of a twisty psychological thriller!

The Naked Truth by Vi Keeland #CoverReveal #TheNakedTruth @ViKeeland

A Standalone Second Chance Romance Novel

By: #1 NY Times Best Selling Author, Vi Keeland

RELEASE DATE: Monday, July 23, 2018

It was just a typical Monday.

Until the big boss asked me to make the pitch for a prospective new client.

After two years on shaky ground at work because of my screw up, an opportunity to impress the senior partners was just what I needed.

Or so I thought…

Until I walked into the conference room and collided with the man I was supposed to pitch.

My coffee spilled, my files tumbled to the ground, and I almost lost my balance.

And that was the good part of my day.

Because the gorgeous man crouched down and looking at me like he wanted to eat me alive, was none other than my ex, Gray Westbrook.

A man who I’d only just begun to move on from.

A man who my heart despised—yet my body obviously still had other ideas about.

A man who was as charismatic and confident as he was sexy.

Somehow, I managed to make it through my presentation ignoring his intense stare.

Although it was impossible to ignore all the dirty things he whispered into my ear right after I was done.

But there was no way I was giving him another chance, especially now that he was a client…was there?

What-Hollys-Husband-Did-Kindle (1)

A laugh-until-you-cry, feel-good novel from the bestselling author of Stockings and Cellulite. Perfect for fans of Tracy Bloom, Sophie Kinsella and Marian Keyes.

~My Review~

4.5 brilliant Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟.5

This book did a fabulous job of balancing humor and some serious subject matter…. Holly has been married for 15 years… after reading some suggestive text messages on her husband’s phone, trust has gone out the window…. i’ve always said the minute I am reading messages on somebody’s phone I’m out the door, if I can’t trust you we are done! Of course I say this as a happily divorced woman, and my marriage did not break up because of cheating, we had plenty of other issues… I mention this because I think there are some parts of this book I viewed differently because for me my life improve so much after I left my marriage, that I see it as a good option… and I realize this is not how a lot of people look at it….

Holly was a wonderful character, and let me just start this off by saying she was way too good for her husband Alex…. Holly was fun, real, and really did not give her self enough credit…. Alex was just a pompous jerk…. I cannot imagine this was a blissful marriage up until to the point of these text messages, unless Alex had a personality transformation as well… did not like him… at all… Holly is determined to save her marriage though… she does this by trying to spice things up in the bedroom… and by throwing him a 40th birthday party…. she also took it upon herself to play detective and some of her techniques were quite amusing….

The secondary characters in this book were quite quirky and fun… loved Holly’s brother Simon he was fabulous! Jack was quite delightful as well… Holly‘s two BFFs were a lot of fun also, even though she suspected one of them of being the person Alex was cheating with….

brilliant book filled with fabulous characters, lots of laughs and an ending you will not see coming… absolutely recommend if you enjoy a humorous book about real life….

i flipping love you- New Cover

From New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting comes I Flipping Love You, a love story about flipping houses, taking risks, and landing that special someone who’s move-in ready.

Rian Sutter grew up with the finer things in life. Spending summers in the Hamptons was a normal occurrence for her until her parents lost everything years ago. Now Rian and her sister are getting their life, and finances, back on track through real estate. Not only do they buy and sell houses to the rich and famous but they finally have the capital to flip their very own beachfront property. But when she catches the attention of a sexy stranger who snaps up every house from under her, all bets are off…

Pierce Whitfield doesn’t normally demo kitchens, install dry wall, or tear apart a beautiful woman’s dreams. He’s just a down-on-his-luck lawyer who needed a break from the city and agreed to help his brother work on a few homes in the Hamptons. When he first meets Rian, the attraction is undeniable. But when they start competing for the same pieces of prime real estate, the early sparks turn into full-blown fireworks. Can these passionate rivals turn up the heat on their budding romance—without burning down the house?

“Fun, sexy, and full of heart…Helena Hunting has done it again!”—USA Today bestselling author Melanie Harlow (on Shacking Up)

~My Review~

4.25 Flipping Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟.25

This book was flipping adorable! This is the third book in the Shacking Up series, but it can be read as a standalone… A wonderful romance filled with love, laughter, granite countertops, dolls, and a neon green speedo…. what’s not to love?

Rian, Loved her…. she was the type of girl you would love to go out and have drinks with… loved her quick wit and her down-to-earth personality…Pierce wasn’t too bad either… just your typical Hut,nice, millionaire about town…. The chemistry between these two was intense and the banter was fun…

The relationship developed at a perfect pace, with both of them guarding their hearts against getting hurt…Rian has a bit of a past that seems to frighten off guys, will it frighten off Pierce? Or will she ever even tell him? Is this just a summer fling? Or is it more? You’re going to need to read this to find out! And it is so worth it!

Absolutely recommend two fans of romance with lots of laughs and sand🏖

Author Bio

Rosie Green has been scribbling stories ever since she was little. Back then they were rip-roaring adventure tales with a young heroine in perilous danger of falling off a cliff or being tied up by ‘the baddies’. Thankfully, Rosie has moved on somewhat, and now much prefers to write romantic comedies that melt your heart and make you smile, with really not much perilous danger involved at all, unless you count the heroine losing her heart in love.

Rosie’s brand new series of novellas is centred on life in a village café. Summer at The Little Duck Pond Café, published on 18th June 2018, follows the first in the series, Spring at The Little Duck Pond Café.

🇺🇸 happy Memorial Day all! Today in the US we celebrate memorial day, a day to remember those who have died defending our rights and our country… A huge thanks from me to those who are serving, have served, and have loved ones that are serving or have served🇺🇸

From Twinkle With Love

From Twinkle, with Love by Sandhya Menon

4.5 Twinkling Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟.5

Aspiring filmmaker and wallflower Twinkle Mehra has stories she wants to tell and universes she wants to explore, if only the world would listen. So when fellow film geek Sahil Roy approaches her to direct a movie for the upcoming Summer Festival, Twinkle is all over it. The chance to publicly showcase her voice as a director? Dream come true. The fact that it gets her closer to her longtime crush, Neil Roy—a.k.a. Sahil’s twin brother? Dream come true x 2.

When mystery man “N” begins emailing her, Twinkle is sure it’s Neil, finally ready to begin their happily-ever-after. The only slightly inconvenient problem is that, in the course of movie-making, she’s fallen madly in love with the irresistibly adorkable Sahil.

Twinkle soon realizes that resistance is futile: The romance she’s got is not the one she’s scripted. But will it be enough?

Told through the letters Twinkle writes to her favorite female filmmakers, From Twinkle, with Love navigates big truths about friendship, family, and the unexpected places love can find you.

4.5 Twinkling Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟.5

This was a fun, adorable, sweet, YA contemporary that had me smiling the entire book…. there is something so readable about this author’s writing style…. in both this book and ”When Dimple Met Ricci” The characters were brought so amazingly to life….

Twinkle feels like lo woman on the social totem pole… in fact she refers to her self as a “groundling”… and the popular people are referred to as something to do with silk feathered hats…. Twinkle’s ultimate dream in life is to become a movie director, she idolizes all female movie directors… in fact this book is written in letter form, with twinkle writing letters to multiple different female movie directors… a epistolary novel…

Twinkle was a likable, real, naïve, and sometimes very frustrating teenage girl…. she somehow got herself into a love Square… Sahil the boy who has been crushing on her since he was 11, a secret admirer, and then the boy she has a crush on… Sahil’s twin brother Neil…Sahil was super adorable both inside and out, his twin on the other hand? Twinkle really drove me crazy in this situation… and the fact that she did not have a mother to talk to drove me even more crazy(The jury is still out on mom)…. then we have supposed BFF Maddie… first of all I hate the mean girl trope… but Maddie was not being a good friend… and whose to blame?Maddie! not her new group of friends…Ugh! Twinkle really needed a big sister, because mom was so busy pouting or something…. drove me nuts! As I was reading this I was coming up with all kinds of brilliant words of wisdom I should pass on to Twinkle, if I ever were to have the chance…. The biggest of these things being high school is only four years of your life, so in the big scope of life it doesn’t matter who you sit by at lunch in high school… oh and probably more important… date the nice guy you have things in common with, not the hot guy you have nothing in common with! And in this case they are twins, so what’s the problem here?

As you can probably tell I got quite invested in Twinkle and her life… so do I recommend? Absolutely! Fabulous book with some lessons learned at the end, that I really appreciated! Things aren’t always as they seem and the popular feather hat wearing people have problems as well… if you are a parent I’d recommend for kids 12 and up, this is a very clean read…

The Forever Night Stand by Bena Roberts #BlogTour #BookReview @rararesources @@benaroberts

Hope you are enjoying your long weekend! Today I am excited to be part of the blog tour for this short but sweet book… many thanks to Rachel for the invitation and to Bena Roberts for her wonderful words💜The Forever Night Stand

A two hour romance which starts with drama and mayhem!

Sara has her back up against the wall. She is recovering from the side effects of chemotherapy and at her own “cancer free” party, she makes a decision that will change her life forever.

The adventure begins when she leaves her posh lifestyle in Scotland and moves in with her Bollywood loving parents, in West London. Her parents are tragically ashamed of Sara’s actions and her electronic monitor. She decides to make them happy again and considers re-marrying.

Enter Raj, a possible hero who comes with the promise of a huge Indian wedding in Goa!

George, the childhood love of her life who seems to be hanging around every corner. Or should she just go back to her husband? Sara faces the biggest dilemma of her life, after making the colossal mistake of her life. What will she do and whom will she choose?

~My Review~

3.75 Quirky Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was a quirky little book filled with an interesting plot and intriguing characters… The book is told from two different points of view… Sarah who has been convicted of stabbing her husband’s lover and is now on house arrest at her parents house… and George who has been in love with Sarah forever and now in my opinion is taking on some stalker like characteristics… now here is where the problem with a short book is for me, the character development is usually not as strong, because of the length of the book… I liked both Sarah and George and found them both a little quirky, however I had a hard time relating to them…

Sarah’s parents were quite amusing, so eager to get Sarah into another marriage… also thought it was quite funny that they were throwing her a party for coming home, when the reason she was coming home is that she was under house arrest… my parents would have been throwing something, but it would not have been a party!

So… will George redeem himself? Or will Sarah find someone else? Sarah does not want a one night stand… she wants a forever night stand… she’s around for a long time not a good time😉

Recommend when you’re in the mood for a short book filled with quirky characters and a touch of love…
